The room has various shades of turquoise and blues. So I took to eBay to find something that would work in my room. I found a gorgeous turquoise chevron fabric and cobalt blue pom poms for a extra pop of colour.

I had previously made a pom pom cushion for my bed in pink and orange, I had used It's Always Autumn's tutorial to do that cushion and decided to use that method again.
1. Cut 3 15×15 inch squares (this is based on using a 14 inch cushion)

2. This tutorial involves an envelope opening instead of a zip. To make the envelope opening on the back of the pillow cover, grab one of your other fabric pieces. Fold the right side in (wrong sides together) 5 inches. Repeat with the other fabric piece, folding in from the left. Then sew this fold in place on both pieces of fabric.

3. Next attach the trim. Take the last of the 15×15 squares and sew the trim all the way around it. Pom poms pointing in and right side of fabric up, and start sewing, about 1/4 inch from the edge. I could have done with my trim being a little wider it made it tricky to sew the whole cushion together, but I know for next time.

4. Once your pom poms are attached, you now need to sew the pieces together. Place your square down on the table right side up. And then place the rectangles on top of the square, right sides down, one matching up with the left side of the square and one matching up to right side. Pin this in place and then sew all the way around.

5. Turn inside out and you should have a cushion.

6. And then your ready to pop I your cushion.

What do you think? I adore the colour!
